| | Mercury was my first AMC album. In 93, while working in a fairly commersheeal record shop, I drove the owner crazy by playing it loud instore. It never got past track 3 so I had to buy it. & a love affair with this great band started. Anyway, speaking of gallows humour, lets acknowledge this sour-tirical line from the song Hollywood..."My revenge against the world is to believe everything you say." & when the chorus kicks in, Eitzel harmonizes "I I I believe you" in his best Elvis baritone. He`s taking the piss mate! |

| | Couldn't agree more, a friend shared this record with me in college. I was hooked as soon as I heard that: "Lazarus wasn't grateful for his second chance, for another chance to watch his chances fade, like the wind..." was scrawled into my memory. I still listen to it a lot actually, but then Mike Johnson is what I count on to uplift me when I'm down :P |
