| "post-war" is wrong here not because the war didn't end, but because there never was a war in iraq. a war is when armies fight each other. we've never FOUGHT anybody in iraq, so to speak. our military walked into baghdad and immediately became police officers assigned an impossible task. what we are seeing now is not an intensifying of the war, but the fruits of a complete infrastructural and governmental vacuum. | |
