I can't belive none of you have got Negura Bunget's album in your lists. Really, you could clear out some of that dated thrashy stuff and replace it with plenty of bands that are blazing new sounds. Good call on Unearthly Trance and Heresi Stewart, Cosmo, since your review of Agalloch was that dead on, I'm surprised AATG isn't higher. Probably because I just don't understand the appeal of Katatonia, or Enslaved for that matter. Too cheesy by far.

Since when are the Microwaves metal? Far too smart, clean-toned, and lacking in power chords to qualify as such to me. But they are a really good band that usually slips through the cracks, so I won't complain that they are getting some love. They are formidable live, much better than any corpsepaint covered basement dwelling douchebags from America like Malefic from Xasthur or Azentrius from Nachtmystium. Spend your money on the good stuff coming from Crucial Blast lately, like Skullflower and Microwaves.
