|
| Hey, did you join to comment on this thread too? Anyway, you put it better.
Lovely. |

| Surprised to find this on Stylus! The night is a good place for listening to Behrman´s "On the Other Ocean"! Didn´t know that Hassell did release "Vernal Equinox" on Lovely Music: it contained all the basics for his masterpiece "Possible Muscis". |

| beautiful, beautiful article. i really enjoyed it. i haven't heard any of the music, but i can totally relate to the feelings you described, i just experience them with different music. i really love the qualities of music you described, and i have found them in ambient music, like Eno, afx's selected ambient works, or basinki's disintegration loops but i also find them in house music. house music can be so long, repetitive, drawn out, and then slight changes have a huge effect, and it takes you somewhere, takes you back, and you see a pattern arising, and the patterns repeat at different levels, just like life. |

| I'm also really curious about Lovely Music, now, btw. |

| thanks for the kind words! and karl, i'd say that the effect of lovely is similar to a lot of house music, in a sense, but i think it's important to note how GROUNDED a lot of this music seems (contra house, which always sounded like 'fantasy' music, albeit in a great way--i.e. the orb, etc.). i really think *everyone* should hear this music. |
