But I wonder whether you are a long time fan of the band, saying it in a "You big lug" sort of way, or whether you're indicting their whole back catalog. I love the early Wedding Present (Tommy through Seamonsters) and care little for what came after for them or Cinerama. But the bits I've heard of this new album seem promising - not the Weddoes of old but, perhaps, taken on its own terms, still something good. Do you have any comments on the album from that perspective? |
