I'll agree that Forrest's approach to song-building is intriguing (and this review succeeds in creating a sense of the music in the mind's ear), but this is one of the most overrated albums of the year, in my opinion. It was an interesting listen at first, but there is a lack of hooks that hurts it upon repeat listens. It's become aural wallpaper for me, which is unfortunate because I think his employment of samples warrants a catchier and more accessible set of songs. I wanted to like this album, I really did.

To be honest, I agree to a CERTAIN extent with gloden; it seems like something that would work so perfectly in theory but in practice... I donno, it didn't really hold my attention. And this may sound weird, but I feel like all the rapidly changing tempos would make it hard to dance to. At least for someone w/ my dancing "skillz."
