Ooh, I want this album after reading this! Much to my girlfriend's horror - and that of my indie-snob friends - I loved Chewing Gum. But I didn't even know this was coming out. Where's the publicity? I bet no-one else buys it.

this stuff is really really catchy! however, that said, it doesn't deserve an A- for being catchy. which came first the chicken or the pitchfork review...? can they just make everyone love anything they review positively?

Hmm...pop-schmop. If Britney Spears sounded like this, I'd listen to mainstream radio. My tastes have much in common with that of indie snobs, but...well, from the few tracks I've heard, I'm probably going to buy this when it comes out in the US next week.

brown girl - unfortunately for stylus, the guy who gave the good review of this record in pitchfork had just left stylus for pitchfork. so i guess stylus came first. but whatever. it doesn't matter- all this pitchfork versus whomever debate is smoke & mirrors because what we should really be talking about is why isn't great music like this as popular as kylie was a couple years ago. i just saw annie play last night in chicago and it was great. the live songs are different from the record in a good way. anyways, i think this record is outstanding and deserves an A- because any record with at least 5 or 6 great songs is a great album officially.
