After having seen The Dears on multiple occasions, I can say that, while this album provides a taste of what the live show brings, it is no substitute (as few live albums are). Seeing them play the Protest EP in it's entirety, feeling the power of Pinned Together, and seeing the passion for the music, even at the end of a tour that has lasted for years, is awe-inspiring. The Dears, The Constantines, and recently, The Arcade Fire have produced the best live shows I've been witness to, and am thankful that albums such as this get made, to give others the desire to see them. Great work.

Yeah, definitely - if there's one thing "Thank You Good Night Sold Out" does successfully, it's make me regret I have yet to catch them live. Now, if only the Constantines could just put out a live album even half as good as their live show...
