| I am absolutely fucking thrilled to hear these have received a proper remaster. Fun House alone kills most of the pretenders out there stone dead. |
| maybe i misread your comment about bowie producing raw power and that being a benefit, but conventional hipster wisdom is the original bowie mix of that album is sub-par to the iggy pop remix from '97 or whenever. but yeah, the songs are different and better instrumentation due to bowie having been in the studio, regardless of the mixes. |
| I believe he meant the Bowie production got Raw Power more attention, not that it was a plus or minus. "Best known", not "best" - because it sure as hell isn't as good as FH. |
| Yah, Ian says what I meant. Thanks Ian! The Iggy mix of Raw Power pisses over the Bowie one, but it wasn't even known about at the time. The Stooges fucking RULE, they're one of those bands that have infinite depth for me. |
| I was just wondering...is there anything on the bonus discs that come with these remasters that make rebuying the albums (for more money, even) worthwhile? |
| stooges rule indeed. saw em at coachella and was not disappointed, iggy out-fronts all frontmen. and the bomp mixes of raw power rival fun house, in my opinion. fun house is still the best album |
