Well, this is a very interesting review, beauase it works very nicely out why "Pohlitz" is at the same time experimental and warm-hearted music. And the writer draws an important line to other substantial works of/with Thomas Stronen: the last two Food albums (both on Rune Grammofon, two) are really 5-star-gems in the way they are leaving the dead end streets of modern maintstream jazz. Adventurous music! And, yes, listening to Stronen´s compositions/improvisations on headphones, is mindblowing!Norway has such a great music scene, always inspiring!
