| Thank goodness. You guys have redeemed yourself for that awful Herbert review earlier. I guess I feel an "A" was surely called for, but I'll let it slide. What an amazing album. |

| If we're going to layer on the hyperbole, I figure the comparisons need to be made. In a Silent Way, amazing, RTCM, pretty good. Loveless, amazing. RTCM, pretty good. Abbey Road, amazing. RTCM, pretty good. In fact, let me say something: amazing is a long fucking distance from pretty good. Not even the best album of the year. Easy on the hype. |

| Horrible review (who gives a fuck about pre-release internet hype? Talk about the album), fantastic record. I've shared coffee with the guys from TVOTR, they kept telling me that, "We should really start reading reviews." I replied with, "No. Please don't." |

| pabanks46 - when you have listened to this album 300 times like I have (and enjoyed every minute of it), then you can rip on my characterization of it. Record of the year: No question. |
|
| First few listens I didn't really get this album - probably because of the first track, like Jeff said - I Was A Lover is really wonky and it wsn't until I sat down and really listened to it that icouldn't believe I hadn't being paying attention.
There's a sweet little story for you - an introduction into how this is going into my end of year top ten, no doubt.
Songs like Wolf Like Me make my year. |
