| DMX sucks so much ass that another billion people must be born to provide that much ass. Everything about this guy is a bad joke, from his gruff voice to his obsession with singing in his own tunes. His lyrics are idiotic and almost beyond belief in their mediocrity. I'm glad to see that Mr. Inskeep believes that the laughably bad quote from the silly and pompous "Lord, Send Me a Sign" has the effect of "one of hip-hop's most hardcore rappers laying it bare"--I would have described it as a materialistic idiot wrestling with a selfish concept of divinity, with the end result being a migraine that left the "writer" with an even more dubious portrayal of God. Extra minuses are warranted for this release proudly identifying itself as a sequel, too. Sequels are for fools. Modern hip-hop is for the ignorant. DMX is music for the truly shit-headed members of this planet. |

| I wish I could disagree, but rask is right about many of these things, but I would change one point: "Modern COMMERCIAL hip-hop is for the ignorant." |
|
| there is good commercial hip-hop. It all depends on what you're looking for in the music. ie. effortless swagger, big minimal bangers, etc |
