| The problem I have with this album is that despite is class in ways of performance the formulas are all clear. It´s a kind of virtuosity where you might say: well, that´s really great, but I know the ingrediences all too well. From now on they have to take risks other wise they will be absorbed by the mainstream....Predictability quickly leads to boredom. Keith Jarrett´s solo recording ("The Carnegie Hall Concert") proved that it is possible to work within a certain frame of style and surprise from start to end. Maybe a bigger palette, whatever... |
