I was not aware Lungfish broke up. Dischord.com indicates they are still active.

Thankfully, Lungfish is still active. The lead-in blurb is incorrect.

Highly recommended indeed. It makes me really happy to see this record getting some real attention (great review on Dusted from Doug Mosurak as well). Please do not post any comments about "most overwritten" blah or how Voegtlin didn't talk about the music enough etc. This music must be experienced and this review does a great job of posing the historical analogues to Higgs' unique powers. This is conjuring of the highest order. I think what strikes me most about Higgs (who essentially is Lungfish, though I dearly love Asa's illuminating riffs) is his ability to completely transcend the typical critical arsenal. He is elemental, like weather. Lungfish write two kinds of songs, maybe three. Art has very little to do with it, and Higgs solo stuff even less so. A lot of people hate it, and I get why, but I can't live in that world. Higgs pretty much embodies hope to me. Vonnegut and Higgs.
