In a way I kind of admire them for doing something so unjustifiably silly, the kind of thing that makes the record company guy's head explode, just because they wanted to.. Too many career-focused people in music these days that'd never consider taking a risk. On the other hand, I don't want to listen to 40 minutes of backwards music, it makes my head hurt.. Reverse the tracks again and you have a little gem of a folk record that leaves you wondering whether it was really worth sacrificing these songs to experimentalism.

You know, if you just sit down and listen to it without any expectations, it's a very nice, very dreamy, very spacey record. It shouldn't be viewed as an indulgent affront to all things ever recorded. And you know, if you want a rather pleasant indie rock record, well rip it and flip it. I think I'd give it a B with a dreamy smile.

angrymice: again, i don't think it's bad, and i'm definitely not one of those people who got really ANGRY when it came out...i just think, well, it's not great. definitely has its moments, and i'll definitely return to it from time to time. but yeah, like richie, listening to the full think kinda gives me a headache. it's interesting to see how many people actually seem to LIKE this record!

If anyone got ANGRY about this album, they need to go on a meditation retreat.
