| I wouldn´t go so far to say "his music always sounded like he was (dead)", but there was definietely this being-on-the edge-type-of-feel, a certain fragility (coming close to Nick Drake). "New Moon" has a very tranquil, hypnotizing quality. And speaking of unnecesseary deaths: Beggars Banquet will release "Intermission" in the middle of June, a 2-disc-collection of the solo work of Grant MacLennan and Robert Forster. It was one of Grant´s last activities as an artist to choose his favourite songs. His death on May, 3rd, 2006, could never been forseen. Grant was happy, in love, and writing new songs. So sad! |
