Thanks for the review; you really put it in perspective for fans of Any Other City.

Yes, thanks. I trust this reviewer because he recognises New Town as utterly essential - head and shoulders, in my opinion. I'm quite interested in this, as I taped their Triple J "Live at the Wireless" session from the same tour (sadly having missed the Brisbane show) and still have it, but I missed the start, and I was in a caravan park on holiday so the reception wasn't great. The extended arrangement of New Town was great. Unfortunately, a bassy, "full" mix (JJJ's fault?) detracted from the band's spare, trebly feel a little. It was also a little loose and slow. Can anyone tell me whether the live album avoids these problems?

I wouldn't really call it slow or loose, although it certainly isn't quite as fast and tight as the album was. Definitely not bassy, but the band's basic sound comes through better than it sounds like the Live at the Wireless session did.
